Trot for a Cause (formerly the Turkey Trot)
Please see the attached flyer and permission slip to this year’s “Trot for a Cause.” This is a yearly event in which students from Collins and Dirksen School come together for a fun race and a chance to give back to the community. It will take place on October 4th this year. You can print the permission slip out and return it to Mr. Cahoj by Monday, October 2nd. What: Run for a great cause
When: Wednesday October 4th from 4:15-5:15 p.m.
Where: Field Behind Dirksen School (116 W Beech Dr. Schaumburg, IL 60193)
Who: Kindergarten-6th grade students from Collins and Dirksen School
Deadline: Permission slips must be turned in by Monday, October 2nd
Attire: Wear Collins School colors to promote our school!
Each participant is recommended to donate $1 to our SD54 Food Pantry to help families in need. You can turn it in with your permission slip or on the event day. Everyone has a chance to win free prizes courtesy of our PTA!
*Kindergarten will run 50 yards (1st race)*
*1st and 2nd grade will run 100 yards (2nd race)*
*3rd and 4th grade will run 200 yards (3rd race)*
*5th and 6th grade will run 1/2 mile (final race)*
