Collins’ School will be participating in a children’s book drive with Bernie’s Book Bank from January 21st – January 31st. Our drive will collect new and gently used children’s books, aged birth through 6th grade. Spanish language and dual language books are accepted.
Please no adult books, workbooks, textbooks, religious books, coloring books, or reference books. Books should not have bent or torn covers, ripped or dogeared pages, or nonfiction books published before 2020.
If you are able, please look through your children’s bookshelves and consider donating any gently used books your children no longer read. Between January 21st and January 31st, your child can drop the books off in the bins by door 8. Your gently used children’s books can help the 2 out of 3 low-income children that have no books of their own at home.
Bernie’s Book Bank sources, processes, and distributes quality children’s books to significantly increase book ownership among at-risk infants, toddlers, and school-age children throughout Chicagoland. Learn more at www.berniesbookbank.org.
